Mint Energy produces graphene batteries and customized battery packs. Graphene provides an alternative to lithium and lead-acid batteries that degrade over time. Mint Energy’s Graphene Container integrates with any power source, providing constant power day and night for diverse applications in emerging sectors like electric vehicles and self-sustaining communities.

PROBLEM: One battery pack for an electric vehicle contains 8 kilograms of lithium. Lithium batteries require replacement every 10-15 years due to degradation, and there’s a potential lithium shortage by 2025. Lithium mining causes environmental harm and limits communities’ access to water.

SOLUTION: Mint Energy’s breakthrough graphene battery expands energy possibilities and offers an eco-friendly alternative to lithium. Graphene is fully renewable and outperforms lithium batteries in charging speed and weight.

TECHNOLOGY AND ORIGINS: The battery management system is easily installable in rack drawers, self-monitors, and can be remotely controlled. Graphene is the best conductor of electricity and heat and is 100-300x stronger than steel. It was discovered in 2004 by physicists at the University of Manchester.

PREDICTIONS: Graphene batteries may be implemented in EVs within 4-8 years, and graphene supercapacitors within 10 years, becoming the preferred battery choice for EVs.

MANAGEMENT: Jason Mindte is the CEO of MintControls.

IMPACT POTENTIAL: There are technological constraints on mass graphene production, but its potential impact is significant.

FINANCE: Mint Energy favors Power Purchase Agreements, with production costs at 3 cents per kilowatt and prices ranging from .17 to .20 cents. They seek partners to implement graphene and assembly factories worldwide.

MILESTONES: Mint Energy’s UL certified supercapacitor is already in large-scale production and use. They are the market leader in graphene production and have shipped golf cart batteries.
